Harvey, Don

Don Harvey (b. 1941)

Influences are the industrial environment and the lake up-front-its grit and debris, eeriness and ultimately its loneliness. Harvey's use of steel and rubber make such sense relating to his art and teaching life in Akron and Cleveland. Harvey's work has been exhibit in all of the major venues in the city and this piece now resides on the wall of the Cleveland Museum of Art. Harvey has spearheaded the development of SPACES, Inc and Cleveland Public Art. He was awarded the Cleveland Fine Arts Prize in Visual Arts in 1991.
