Of the few surviving movie palaces in the country, four of them that stand side by side have been restored and preserved in one of the most unique complexes of theaters. The Playhouse Square complex of four theaters (Palace, State, Ohio and Allen) is the largest theatre complex between New York City and Chicago . These theatres, originally built in 1921 have been completely renovated and are being used for local and national theatre, and entertainment.
